AN ACT relating to retirement.
Create a new section of KRS 61.510 to 61.705 to allow full-time public safety officers of the universities to participate in KERS hazardous duty retirement and require the individual to pay the cost of transfer and conversion.
HB 568 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/FN/AA - Retain original provisions except delete the authorization for the university security officers to participate in the hazardous duty retirement program.
HFA (1, C. Geveden) - Add new section to authorize member of the General Assembly who previously retired from a state-administered retirement system while in office to elect to participate in the Legislators' Retirement Plan within 30 days of retirement; authorize member who did not have option to elect to participate in Legislators' Retirement Plan as of the date of retirement if election is made within 30 days of the effective date of this Act.
