AN ACT relating to cemetery maintenance.
     Create new section of KRS Chapter 67 to require fiscal courts to create a county cemetery board or to give an existing board the authority to apply for grants up to $10,000 contingent on funds to maintain cemeteries that do not receive perpetual care funds; give the volunteer board of 5 members no compensation or reimbursement for services; require the Department for Local Government to promulgate administrative regulations to coordinate and facilitate the boards' operations; establish criteria for amount of grants to counties and guidelines for appropriate expenditures of funds, including transportation and overseeing prison labor used in cemetery maintenance; create a new section of KRS Chapter 67 to establish a county cemetery fund in the Department for Local Government to receive state appropriations, gifts, and other funds to enable a county cemetery board to apply for grants to maintain nonprofit cemeteries.
