AN ACT relating to purchase of service credit in the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System.
Amend KRS 161.549 to provide that members of the Teachers' Retirement System who wish to purchase retirement service credit for service as Head Start teachers shall have the actuarial cost calculated on the basis of the actuarial cost at the time the Head Start service was earned.
HB 320 - AMENDMENTS
HCS/AA - Delete original provisions; permit members of the Kentucky Teacher Retirement System with Head Start experience to purchase service credit under the same conditions that out-of-state service credit may be purchased under KRS 161.515.
HFA (1, J. Draud) - Create a new section of KRS 161 to permit members of the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System to purchase service credit of up to four years for teaching in private colleges and universities in Kentucky that accept students under the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority or the Kentucky Education Excellence Scholarship program.
HFA (2, C. Siler) - Limit the years of service that may be purchased by Head Start teachers to a maximum of seven years.
HFA (3, J. Draud) - Create a new section of KRS Chapter 161 to permit members of the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System to purchase service credit up to four years for teaching in private colleges and universities in Kentucky that accept students under the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority or the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship program.
