| Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 278.600 to delete reference to KRS 278.605 and amend the definition of a plan for the disposal of high-level nuclear waste to mean a method of disposal in accordance with federal laws and regulations; amend KRS 278.610 to delete requirements for the Public Service Commission to find that the United States has identified and approved of a demonstrable technology for the disposal of high level nuclear wastes before it will certify a nuclear facility; delete additional requirement that there be waste storage facilities with adequate capacity to take nuclear waste be in actual operation when the nuclear facility is granted a certificate; repeal KRS 278.605. |
