201 KAR 23:060.Licensed social workers, certified social workers, and licensed clinical social workers.

Section 1.

A person who possesses a valid, unsuspended or unrevoked licensed social worker license may:

(1)

Engage in a social work activity except the practice of clinical social work as defined in 201 KAR 23:070, Section 1(2); and

(2)

Use the abbreviation "LSW."

Section 2.

A person who possesses a valid, unsuspended or unrevoked certified social worker license may:

(1)

Engage in a social work activity that:

(a)

Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this subsection, does not include the practice of clinical social work as defined in 201 KAR 23:070, Section 1(2); or

(b)

Includes the practice of clinical social work as defined in 201 KAR 23:070, Section 1(2), if the conditions established in KRS 335.080(3) are met; and

(2)

Use the abbreviation "CSW."

Section 3.

A person who possesses a valid, unsuspended or unrevoked licensed clinical social worker license may:

(1)

Engage in the practice of social work, including the practice of clinical social work as defined in 201 KAR 23:070, Section 1(2);

(2)

Hold himself out to the public as engaging in the practice of clinical social work as defined in 201 KAR 23:070, Section 1(2);

(3)

Use the abbreviation "LCSW"; and

(4)

Employ a certified social worker under the conditions established in KRS 335.100(3).
