| Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 218A.110 to make ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and phenylpropanolamine or their salts, isomers, and salts of isomers a Schedule IV controlled substance; amend KRS 218A.180 relating to dispensing and prescriptions by practitioners to prohibit a practitioner from dispensing more than 9 grams of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, or phenylpropanolamine and their salts, isomers, or salts of isomers to an ultimate user in a 30-day period, prohibit a prescription for more than 9 grams of product, prohibit refilling a prescription prior to the expiration of 30 days from the prior prescription; repeal KRS 218A.1446 relating to over-the-counter sales of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and phenylpropanolamine. |
