| Summary of Original Version | A joint resolution directing the Department of Financial Institutions to retain and compile all citizen complaints relating to national banks and to submit copies of all complaints or notes from telephone conversations or meetings with citizens for submission to the Interim Joint Committee on Banking and Insurance by November 15th of each year; require the Interim Joint Committee on Banking and Insurance to review the complaints and assess the substance and merits thereof and submit those complaints deemed valid to the Secretary of State; require the Secretary of State to receive, compile and retain the complaints for one (1) year and prepare a summary of complaints against national banks and the number of complaints received; authorize the Secretary of State to release the summary to the Attorney General and the media, and to submit specific complaints to the Attorney General for review and appropriate action; and, authorize the Attorney General to review and take any appropriate action including notification of the appropriate federal agencies regarding the complaints; require distribution of the resolution to the Department of Financial Institutions, the Secretary of State and the Attorney General of the Commonwealth. |
