Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 61.705 to allow the designated beneficiary of a member of the Kentucky Retirement Systems to assign the death benefit to a bank, licensed funeral home, or other lawfully recognized business entity upon the death of the member; amend KRS 161.655 to allow the designated beneficiary of a member of the Teachers' Retirement System to assign the life insurance policy benefit to a bank, licensed funeral home, or other lawfully recognized business entity; amend KRS 61.690 and 161.700 to conform.
