Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 241.065 to remove the quota retail package license ratio of one for every 1,500 residents in counties containing a city of the first class; amend KRS 242.060 to shift the cost of a local option election from the county to the committee or other group primarily responsible for the circulation and filing of the election petition; amend KRS 243.240 to set the standard number of quota retail package licenses in a territory at one for every 3,000 residents; establish procedures and restrictions for granting quota retail package licenses; amend KRS 243.260 to allow the holder of a special temporary license to exercise the privileges of that license in only those counties or cities that have enacted an economic hardship ordinance or where quota retail drink licenses are authorized.
