Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 65 to establish legislative findings and declarations for KRS 65.750 to 65.760 and KRS 65.7621 to 65.7643; amend KRS 65.750 to add definitions; amend KRS 65.760 to allow for collection of local 911 fees from VoIP and establish permitted uses of locally collected 911 fees; amend KRS 65.7621 to add definitions; amend KRS 65.7629 raise CMRS service charge and index it to the CPI-U; amend KRS 65.7631 make changes to the CMRS distribution formula to allow for PSAP consolidation reimbursement and implementation of next generation 911 capacity; amend KRS 65.7635 to provide a collection method for the CMRS service charge from prepaid CMRS services; and amend KRS 65.7633 to conform.
