Summary of Original Version | Propose to amend Section 72 of the Constitution of Kentucky to make the Lieutenant Governor President of the Senate and to give him or her the ability to cast votes to break ties in the Senate; propose to amend Section 84 of the Constitution of Kentucky to declare that the Lieutenant Governor does not preside over a trial of the Governor in the Senate; propose to amend Section 87 of the Constitution of Kentucky to place the Attorney General and the Auditor in the line of succession if a Governor and a Lieutenant Governor cannot or will not serve as Governor; propose to repeal Sections 85 and 86 of the Constitution of Kentucky, relating to the President of the Senate; provide ballot language; submit to voters for ratification or rejection. |
