Amendment House Committee Substitute 1
Summary Amend original provisions to require an insurer offering a health benefit plan to establish procedures for changing a participating provider agreement; require 90 days' notice for a material change; establish required information to be included in notice; require certain notices to be sent by certified mail; require certain notices to be sent in an orange-colored envelope; establish when material changes may take effect; allow providers to withdraw if they give insurer's notice of withdrawal at least 45 day prior to material change's effective date; amend KRS 205.522 to make Section 1 of this bill applicable to managed care organizations that provide Medicaid benefits; Amend 304.17C-060 to require insurers issuing limited health service benefit plans to comply with Section 1 of this bill; amend to add a delayed effective date of January 1, 2017.
