Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 367.93103 to restrict an individual who is employed by an entity that is responsible for providing funeral or cemetery services or disposing of the declarant's remains from being a designee or alternate designee; amend KRS 367.93115 to make provisions for a decedent in the absence of a declaration; amend KRS 367.93117 to authorize individuals or entities to control the disposition of a decedent's body and make funeral, burial, and ceremonial arrangements if an individual in the next degree of kinship is not available; amend KRS 367.93121 to require actions to contest cremation authorization forms be brought in the District Court of the county of the decedent's residence or the county in which the funeral home or crematory is located.
