Summary of Original Version Create the Alzheimer's and Dementia Workforce Assessment Task Force to study the state's healthcare workforce needs as well as the state's long-term care services and supports infrastructure, including long-term care facilities that are used to provide care to individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia; outline task force membership; require the task force to meet monthly during the 2019 Interim and to submit findings and recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission by December 1, 2019.

Summary Permit the Executive Director of the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana chapter of the Alzheimer's Association to submit the names of two consumer advocates to serve in his or her place on the task force; reduce the number of representatives from the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Advisory Council from five to three; and add one representative from the Kentucky Association of Health Care Facilities who specializes in Alzheimer's and dementia care giving.
