| Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 11.160 to restrict nominees to appointed positions that require Senate confirmation from assuming the duties of the position until they are confirmed by the Senate; allow the Governor or other appointing authority to fill a vacancy to achieve a quorum necessary to conduct business to serve with all power until the next regular or special session; allow a person appointed by the Governor or other appointing authority to serve until his or her appointment expires or a successor is appointed and confirmed by the Senate; and remove all references to confirmation of a gubernatorial appointment by the House of Representatives; amend various statutes to conform. |
