| Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 278.990 to increase maximum civil penalty for violation of any provision of KRS Chapter 278 or any administrative regulation promulgated pursuant to KRS Chapter 278 or anyone who fails to obey any order of the commission from which all appeals have been exhausted, or who procures, aids, or abets a violation by any utility from $2,500 to $10,000 per day for each offense; in addition to other penalties provided for in KRS 278.990, if a violation results in serious bodily injury or death, the commission may impose a civil penalty not to exceed $25,000 per violation. |
