Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 510, relating to sex offenses, to provide that a conviction of a felony offense under the chapter operates as an application for a restraining order prohibiting contact with the victim, unless the victim requests otherwise; provide the defendant with notice of his or her right to request a hearing on the restraining order; provide for the time of the hearing; provide for contents of the order; provide for modification of an order upon petition of the victim or defendant; provide for a modification hearing; provide for entering an order into the KSP LINK computer system; provide civil and criminal immunity for law enforcement officers acting in good faith in enforcing an order; provide for nondisclosure of a victim's personal information; provide that violation of an order is a Class A misdemeanor.
