| Summary of Original Version | Create a new section of KRS Chapter 520 to establish the crime of failure to return to custody when a prisoner on a community service or work program fails to return to custody; set penalty as Class A misdemeanor if the crime for which he or she was convicted was a misdemeanor and Class D felony if the crime for which he or she was convicted was a felony; amend KRS 520.030, relating to escape in the second degree, and KRS 520.040, relating to escape in the third degree, to prohibit conviction for both escape and failure to return to custody. |
