Summary of Original Version Propose amendments to the Constitution of Kentucky, by amending Section 43, to restrict courts from forcing General Assembly to make, increase, decrease, or refrain from making an appropriation, imposing, increasing, or decreasing a tax or fee, or refrain from imposing a tax or fee unless prohibited by the Constitution; amending Section 110 to require courts to adhere to budget set by General Assembly; amending Section 116 to require publication of court rules and administrative procedures; amending Section 120 to specify that the adequacy of compensation and other fiscal matters relating to the courts are set by the General Assembly and to require court acquisition of real property by purchase, lease, or otherwise and major renovations to be approved by the General Assembly; propose ballot language; submit amendment to the voters.
