Summary of Original Version	Create a new section of KRS Chapter 210 to establish mandatory training requirements for social workers, marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, fee-based pastoral counselors, alcohol and drug counselors, psychologists, and occupational therapists in suicide assessment, treatment, and management; define terms; permit training to count toward continuing education requirements; require the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to develop a model list of training programs and report the list to the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare; require the respective professional boards to promulgate administrative regulations to implement training requirements; exempt employees of state government, local government, state hospitals, community mental health centers, and agencies operating alcohol and drug abuse programs from the training requirement if they receive comparable training.
