Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 65.7621 to add definitions; amend KRS 65.7627 to specify that prepaid wireless service charge revenue is deposited into the CMRS fund; amend KRS 65.7629 to make changes to collection of CMRS service charge from prepaid CMRS connections; amend KRS 65.7635 to remove language related to the collection of CMRS service charge from prepaid CMRS connections; create a new section of KRS 65.7621 to 65.7643 to establish and specify the collection of a prepaid wireless service charge; create new sections of KRS Chapter 142 to add definitions; require the Department of Revenue to collect the prepaid wireless service charge; require sellers to register with the department; require sellers to file returns with the department; allow for audits and actions by aggrieved sellers; require sellers to keep records; impose interest on delinquent prepaid wireless service charges; allow for penalties for nonpayment; specify the deposit of prepaid wireless service charge revenue into the CMRS fund; specify individual and corporate liability for collection of prepaid wireless service charge.
