Summary of Original Version Create new sections of KRS Chapter 309 to define terms; create the Kentucky Board of Midwifery; provide for licensure and administrative regulation requirements regarding the practice of midwifery; establish a trust and agency fund to be administered by the board to implement the licensure of midwives; specify that the formulary not include Schedule II, III, or IV drugs; require licensees to report data on clients for the previous year to the board; require options for moderate or high risk births to be disclosed to a client; require a record of informed consent to be kept for seven years by the midwife; set forth informed consent requirements for patient care; amend KRS 211.180 and 311.550 to conform.
