Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 61.906 to require the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet to conduct a criminal background check for persons applying as a special law enforcement officer, and allow a check at other times at the cabinet's discretion, by means of a fingerprint check by the Department of Kentucky State Police and the FBI.
