Summary of Original Version | Create a new section of Subtitle 17A of KRS Chapter 304 to require health benefits plans to cover epinephrine auto-injectors for persons 18 years of age and under; provide that the coverage shall not be subject to cost-sharing requirements; amend KRS 205.522 to apply the 18-and-under auto-injector coverage requirement to the Department of Medicaid Services and managed care organizations contracted to provide Medicaid benefits; amend KRS 205.6485 to require the Kentucky Children's Health Insurance Program to comply with the 18-and-under auto-injector coverage requirement; amend KRS 18A.225 to require the state employee health plan to comply the 18-and-under auto-injector coverage requirement; EFFECTIVE January 1, 2021. |
