| Summary of Original Version | Create new sections of KRS Chapter 45A to require the Finance and Administration Cabinet to collect and maintain race and ethnicity data for certain contracts; establish standards for race and ethnicity data collection; require a business to self-report race and ethnicity data; prohibit race and data collected from being used in the process to award state contracts listed under KRS 45A.075; require that race and data collected from businesses shall only be used for reporting requirements; require the Finance and Administration Cabinet to submit an annual report to the Commission on Race and Access to Opportunity; outline report requirements; EFFECTIVE in part July 1, 2024. |
