Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 197.055 to require that the Department of Corrections administer an HIV/AIDS test to all penitentiary inmates no less than 30 days prior to release; require that a copy of the results be sent to the inmate, the warden of the penitentiary, the secretary of the cabinet, and the legal spouse of the inmate by registered mail within five days of the department receiving the results; require that the results not be public record but be a part of the inmate's medical file.
