Summary of Original Version	Amend KRS 161.568 and 161.569 to provide a one-time election, beginning in July 1, 2008, for public university personnel who have elected to participate in the optional retirement plan to participate in the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System within their six years and six months of continuous service in any one of the institutions identified in KRS 161.220(4)(b); permit university personnel who make the election to purchase their prior service with their postsecondary education employers as service credit; specify university contribution rate; amend KRS 161.540 change the reference to university employees rather than university faculty members; EMERGENCY.
