Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 18A.205 to provide that a retiree who has been reemployed in a full-time position within state government on or after September 1, 2008, shall be eligible for life insurance benefits; amend KRS 61.510 and 78.510 to provide that the retirement systems shall add one or more fiscal years to the final compensation calculation for employees participating in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System or the County Employees Retirement System on or after September 1, 2008, if the member does not have five complete fiscal years of service upon retirement; amend KRS 61.637 to make technical changes.

Summary Retain original provisions except amend KRS 15.400 to provide individuals who retired with Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) certification on or after July 1, 2008, who are reemployed with a law enforcement agency within 100 days following the effective date of this Act with automatic POPS certification.
