| Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 223.400 to add definitions for "geothermal borehole" and "geothermal system" and to amend the definition for "water well"; amend KRS 223.435 to require the secretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet, upon recommendation of the Kentucky Water Well Certification Board, to promulgate administrative regulations establishing standards of practice for drilling geothermal boreholes and installing geothermal systems; require the administrative regulations to include annually recurring certification requirements for geothermal borehole drillers; require the administrative regulations to be proposed within one year of the effective date of the Act; amend KRS 223.455 to authorize the cabinet to enter onto property, consistent with due process, to obtain information on geothermal system installation. |
