Summary Retain original provisions; stipulate that from July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018, for all retirees under the age of 65 who participate in the Kentucky Group Health Insurance Program through the Kentucky Teachers' Retirement System (KTRS), the KTRS Board of Trustees shall have the authority to pay the same dependent subsidy that Executive Branch agencies pay for their active employees who have similar coverage; direct any unexpended SEEK funds carried forward into fiscal year 2017-2018 to be used for pupil transportation and distributed in accordance with KRS 157.370; provide to the Council on Postsecondary Education supplemental General Fund money in the amount of $298,000 in fiscal year 2017-2018 to fully fund 164 veterinary medicine and 44 optometry slots in the Contract Spaces Program; APPROPRIATION; declare an EMERGENCY.
