Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 311 to require that a parent or legal guardian of an unemancipated minor be informed of an intent to withhold life-prolonging treatment before an order is instituted; permit a parent or legal guardian to refuse consent for an order to withhold life-prolonging treatment; permits either parent to petition the Circuit Court if they disagree; require a health care facility or physician to disclose a policy relating to life-prolonging treatment upon request.
