Summary of Original Version Propose to create a new section of the Constitution of Kentucky to prohibit persons elected to public office from serving more than twenty consecutive years for the same public office, regardless of the terms permitted; if a person elected reaches twenty years in the middle of a term, he or she may finish that term, but once twenty years is attained, the official may only run again for that office if he or she is not a candidate for the following subsequent term; provide ballot language; submit to voters for ratification or rejection.
