Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 61 to provide an employee of the Commonwealth in the judicial or legislative branch of the state government a paid leave of absence of up to six weeks for the birth, adoption, foster care placement, or serious health condition of a child; establish requirements; create a new section of KRS 18A.005 to 18A.200 to provide the paid leave benefits to classified employees in the executive branch of state government; amend KRS 18A.025 and 18A.110 to conform.
