Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 156.153 to define "danger zone"; direct the Department of Education to consider requiring the installation of school bus sensors and interior cameras on new school buses purchased on or after July 1, 2026; direct the department to promulgate administrative regulations; require the department to submit a report on the availability and effectiveness of school bus sensors to the Legislative Research Commission by June 30, 2026; amend KRS 156.990, 160.380, and 189.540 to conform; amend KRS 281.635 to encourage cities to install safety sensors in city buses; provide that part of the Act may be cited as Ally's Law.
