| Summary of Enacted Version | Amends KRS 158.1411 to require one credit in financial literacy for students entering grade nine during or after the 2026-2027 school year; directs minimum topics to be covered in the course; directs that the financial literacy course be accepted as an elective course graduation requirement; requires local superintendents, in consultation with the local board of education, school-based decision council, and principal, to determine curricula for course offerings; allows local districts to consult with the Kentucky Financial Empowerment Commission; and requires the Department of Education to identify through the system for uniform academic course codes which courses meet the requirements for the financial literacy course. |
