Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 164A to establish a student loan forgiveness program for licensed medical practitioners who obtain a doctoral degree after the effective date of this Act from a Kentucky university medical, dental medicine or osteopathic medical program; require the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation to administer the program and promulgate administrative regulations; and establish eligibility requirements for loan forgiveness including service to clients in a medically underserved community by the United States Department of Health and Human Services; APPROPRIATION.
