Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 160.346 to define "persistently low-achieving school" and other terms; set forth intervention options; specify responsibilities of audit teams; specify timelines for the commissioner of education to act upon audit teams' recommendations; direct the Kentucky Board of Education to schedule a special meeting to act upon any appeal of an action by the commissioner of education; require each persistently low-achieving school to engage in one of the established intervention options or other model recognized in the federal No Child Left Behind Act, or its successor; EMERGENCY. |
