Summary of Original Version Create new sections in KRS Chapter 118 to require a candidate for Governor to select a running mate in a slate of candidates after filing a certificate or petition of nomination and not later than the second Tuesday in August preceding the regular election for the office of Governor; establish a procedure to follow if a vacancy occurs in a candidacy for the office of Lieutenant Governor; amend KRS 121.015 to redefine "slate of candidates"; amend KRS 117.275, 118.025, 118.125, 118.245, 120.055,120.095, and 121.170 to conform; repeal KRS 118.127 and 118.227.
