Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 186 to require the Transportation Cabinet to expand driver licensing services by either setting up a system where a county clerk issues operators licenses and personal identification cards, or maintain a permanent full-time driver licensing office in each county where a regional driver licensing office is not currently located; allow county clerks to retain a $5 fee for each document processed; amend KRS 186.531 to conform; EFFECTIVE July 1, 2025.
