Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 337 to define terms; require all employers to grant an employee at least 10 days bereavement leave, with a minimum of three days paid, following the death, miscarriage, or stillbirth of a child, or death of a dependent or other immediate family member; amend KRS 337.990 to establish a penalty for violations; create a new section of KRS Chapter 18A to define terms; provide state employees at least 10 days bereavement leave, with a minimum of three days paid, following the death, miscarriage, or stillbirth of a child, or death of a dependent or other immediate family member; amend KRS 18A.110 to require the secretary of the Personnel Cabinet to promulgate related administrative regulations; provide that the Act may be cited as the Bereavement Leave Act.
