Summary of Original Version Amend KRS 95.500 to allow, absent a collective bargaining agreement, specified fire personnel to have schedules consisting of 48 hours on duty followed by 96 hours of off duty time; specify that collective bargaining agreements maintained by a city or urban-county government may control work hours in lieu of the specified schedules.

Summary Retain original provisions of the bill except allow for a work schedule of on duty for 24 hours, off duty for 72 hours, on duty again for 48 hours and then off duty again for 72 hours; make technical corrections and stipulate that any change in a work schedule made pursuant to this subsection shall not result in a decrease in the compensation of firefighters, exclusive of non-scheduled overtime.
