Summary Delete original provisions; create new section of KRS Chapter 164 to define terms; require institutions that maintain a student housing requirement to establish an exemption process; include exemptions for military members; require an institution to make the exemption process publicly accessible on its website and in other locations; provide exceptions; provide the opportunity for a military member reporting for military orders during an academic semester to be temporarily absent or withdraw from an institution without fees or penalties; require public postsecondary education institutions to provide information on 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 student housing requirement exemptions to the Council on Postsecondary Education; require the council submit a report to the Legislative Research Commission by July 1, 2028.
