| Summary of Original Version | Create a new section of KRS Chapter 118 to establish the Kentucky Gubernatorial Debate Commission; require the commission, when funding is available, to hold at least one gubernatorial debate in each congressional district in a gubernatorial election year; allow the commission, when funding is available, to hold debates among candidates for Lieutenant Governor; establish membership of the commission; set rules for members' reimbursement, terms of service, and meetings; encourage broadcast media to carry the debates; allow the commission to seek and accept grants from public and private sources. |
