Summary Create a new section of KRS Chapter 11 and a new section of KRS Chapter 12 to require that executive orders issued by the Governor be numbered in consecutive numerical order by date of issuance and be filed electronically with the Secretary of State; to require the co-chairs of the Legislative Research Commission to refer each order to a committee within 5 working days of receipt by the Commission; permit a committee to review an order within 90 days following referral by the co-chairs of the Commission; require the committee to report its comments to the Commission for transmittal to the General Assembly; establish that executive orders expire 90 days after the end of the term of the Governor who issued the executive order; establish that an executive order may be adopted, overridden, or amended by legislative enactment; establish that 90 days after the end of the term of office of the governor or of a statewide elected official, executive orders and administrative orders created respectively by such officials shall expire.
