Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 315 to authorize the Governor during a declared state of emergency to grant to pharmacists the emergency authority to dispense up to a 30 day supply of medication, administer immunizations to children, operate temporarily a pharmacy in an area not designated on the pharmacy permit, and dispense drugs as needed to treat or prevent the ailment that caused the emergency; create a new section of KRS Chapter 315 to permit the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy to promulgate administrative regulations; amend KRS 39A.100 to permit the Governor to grant emergency authority to pharmacists; amend KRS 217.215 to permit pharmacist to administer up to a 30 day supply of maintenance medication; amend KRS 315.010 to include the administration of immunizations of children during a declared state of emergency in the definition of "practice of pharmacy"; amend KRS 315.035 to authorize pharmacists to temporarily operate a pharmacy in an area not designated on the pharmacy permit; amend KRS 315.121 to conform.
