Summary of Original Version | Amend KRS 194A.146 to establish that the co-chairs of the Interim Joint Committee on Health and Welfare and one private child-placing provider shall serve on the Statewide Strategic Planning Committee for Children in Placement; to establish that the plan developed by the committee shall be completed and submitted by July 1, 2013; to require that an evaluation study shall be conducted by the committee; amend KRS 199.641 to establish that the payments made by the Department for Community Based Services to nonprofit child-caring facilities shall be adjusted based on the consumer price index; amend KRS 199.800 to establish a definition for "assessment", "gatekeeper", "level of care", "utilization review", amend the definition of "type of placement" to include consideration of the child's circumstances, assessment, and assigned level of care, and establish language referring to "regions" instead of "districts"; amend KRS 199.801 to establish that an assessment shall be done and submitted to the gatekeeper regarding a child to be placed in custody and establish responsibilities of a social worker of the child; establish language for assessments regarding the child's circumstances, assessment, and assigned level of care, and establish language referring to "regions" instead of "districts"; amend KRS 200.575 to define "family reunification services"; amend KRS 200.585 to establish requirements related to family reunification services; and amend KRS 200.600 to establish that the secretary of the cabinet for health and family services shall file a report to the Legislative Research Commission regarding family preservation services. |
