Summary of Original Version Create a new section of KRS Chapter 15A to permit the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet and its agencies to provide state personnel, state property, and other state resources to the Kentucky State Police Foundation, Incorporated; amend KRS 16.040 to expand KSP officer eligibility to a person with a high school or GED diploma with at least 3 years' experience demonstrating commitment and professionalism in prior employment, training and certifications; amend KRS 16.080 to require the commissioner to establish a KSP code of ethics through the promulgation of administrative regulations and exempt KSP from KRS Chapter 11A; amend KRS 16.052 to permit a salary increase based on a promotion to a higher rank to be effective on the first day of the officer's promotion; EMERGENCY.
