Summary | Retain original provisions: amend KRS 190.030 to allow the Motor Vehicle Commission to set annual fees for licenses through administrative regulation, set caps at $50 for salespersons and $500 for all other licenses; amend KRS 186,574 to require traffic safety programs for traffic offenders operated by a county attorney to have uniform education and training elements; require the Transportation Cabinet to promulgate administrative regulations to set forth required elements of a traffic safety program for traffic offenders operated by a county attorney; require county attorneys to submit program curricula to the cabinet; and establish a process for cabinet approval of individual programs; allow county attorney programs in operation on the effective date of the Act to continue operation until December 31, 2021 while awaiting approval of program curriculum. |
