Summary | Direct the Legislative Research Commission to establish the Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Vehicle Task Force to study the impact of artificial intelligence on operation and procurement policies of Kentucky government agencies and consumer protection needed in private and public sectors; direct the task force to provide recommendations on artificial intelligence systems that would enhance state government operations and legislative initiatives needed to provide consumer protection in the private and public sectors; direct the task force to study safety benefits and concerns, liability and insurance issues, and economic impact of the use and sale of autonomous vehicles; require the task force to meet at least three times before the submission of its findings and recommendations; require the task force to submit its findings and recommendations to the Legislative Research Commission by December 1, 2024; provide that the Legislative Research Commission has authority to alternatively assign the issues identified by the recommendations of the task force to the appropriate committee or subcommittee. |
