Summary Retain original provisions; amend KRS 198B.4021 to require notification when there is a shortage of licensed personnel to perform elevator work; add a two-year minimum of documented experience for temporary elevator mechanic licenses; limit the number of temporary licenses to 25% of licensed personnel employed by elevator contractor; permit any person with a minimum of two years' documented experience and education to seek a temporary elevator mechanic license; limit the temporary license renewal to one additional term of one year.
